This role is responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of Guardian’s signature philanthropic investments. You will also collaborate on other high-priority projects for Corporate Impact.

You will
Drive results through partnering with various workstream leads across the enterprise to help accomplish Guardian’s broader corporate impact strategy.
Provide strategic relationship management of Guardian’s signature philanthropic initiatives, including overseeing all the grantee partnerships, developing the strategy and implementation plans related to these partnerships, and ensuring consistent alignment with Guardian’s Purpose and business objectives.
Monitor and evaluate grantees’ progress towards specific partnership goals and create opportunities for deeper engagement with our lines of business and in community.
Manage all aspects of the technical grant process, including proposal submissions, ongoing grantee engagement, impact report submissions and reporting, and measurement and evaluation.
Build appropriate awareness for Guardian’s strategic philanthropy as a part of a comprehensive corporate impact visibility plan.
Provide regular updates of activity and outcome metrics to internal colleagues, for integration into client updates, external regulatory reports, and various awareness campaigns.
Stay abreast of current developments in the field related to grant recipients and philanthropy, especially information related to financial, physical, and mental wellness.
Manage or collaborate on additional ad hoc Corporate Impact projects, often with a cross-functional group of workstream leads.
You have
Deep knowledge of grantmaking, including setting up-front, mutual expectations regarding expected outcomes, monitoring grantee activity, and measuring and evaluating results
Experience with large, national partners, preferably those that focus on financial well-being.
Strategic management and/or relationship management experience: developing program strategies and tactics, partnering with cross-enterprise teams, creating reports and presentations for senior leaders and other stakeholders, conducting market research and analysis, driving innovation, and staying abreast of industry trends.
An aptitude for project management; effective written, verbal and presentation skills; an ability to identify compelling, aligned partnership opportunities.
Ability to lead cross functional, collaborative projects with senior leaders as your primary points of contact.
The ability to accelerate impact and lead change.
Strong proficiency with MS Office suite
Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders: influencing, collaboration, communication.
Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to strategically align processes and resources to achieve shared goals and deliverables.
Ability to work independently.
Reporting Relationships
As Strategic Philanthropy Lead, you will report directly to the Head of Corporate Impact.
Location /Travel
Hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH located in the Hudson Yards, NYC office.
Salary Range:
$101,180.00 - $166,220.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
