Our Head of Environment, Social and Governance Programs (Head of ESG) is Agilent’s leader accountable for shaping and delivering the company’s enterprise-wide ESG & sustainability agenda. This role owns the full ESG strategy, governance model, and execution roadmap—translating Agilent’s ESG commitments, including net-zero ambitions, emissions reduction goals, water stewardship, energy efficiency, waste and circularity objectives, into clear, actionable priorities embedded across all functions, regions, and businesses. As the enterprise steward of ESG performance, the Head of ESG Programs ensures measurable outcomes through rigorous standards, transparent metrics, cross-functional accountability, and a mature reporting and assurance framework. This includes overseeing the quality, timeliness, and audit-readiness of all ESG or sustainability disclosures, leading external assurance activities, and serving as Agilent’s primary interface with regulators, auditors, customers, and rating agencies.
The Head of ESG Programs also drives operational integration of ESG programs by partnering closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality & Regulatory, Finance, Legal/HR/Communications, Commercial, and R&D to embed ESG requirements into daily operating practices, long-range business planning, capital investments, footprint decisions, supplier strategy, and product innovation.
A critical responsibility of the Head of ESG Programs is to establish and maintain enterprise sustainability standards, KPIs, governance frameworks, and decision rights, ensuring consistent interpretation and execution across a distributed operational network. Success in this role requires an enterprise-wide mindset; the ability to build systems, standards, and operating mechanisms that scale; and the leadership acumen to drive cross-functional alignment without direct authority.
