POSITION SUMMARY:
Republic Services is seeking a Community Investment Analyst to support the company’s Charitable Foundation, community grant program, employee relief fund, and volunteer initiatives. This position will assist with content development for various internal and external communications and branding strategies that enhance Republic’s reputation with and increase the Company’s visibility in local communities nationwide, including its commitment to sustainable neighborhoods, environmental responsibility, safety and other high priority initiatives. This role will assist with grant selection and processing, branding, and communications for Community Investment initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Community Investment, the Community Investment Analyst will collaborate with team members to help identify and amplify Community Investment news via social media, internal communications and other available communications platforms.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the creation and implementation of communication plans and campaigns that support the Community Investments goals and initiatives.
Provide grant administration for multiple grant programs promoting sustainable neighborhoods across the country.
Support the administration of the Republic Services Employee Relief Fund.
Coordinate with the External Communications and Brand Teams in order to advance the Republic brand.
Support field operations through community media relations, nonprofit research, and volunteer event coordination.
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Superb writing skills.
Nonprofit management experience.
Ability to think strategically and manage multiple projects and priorities
simultaneously.
Self-motivated and willing to contribute to a strong team environment.
Exceptional detail orientated and comfortable with a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within an organization, across business units, functional departments, geographies, and disciplines.
Strong spreadsheet proficiency across multiple applications including pivot tables and formulas
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Rich background in media relations with the ability to execute traditional and digital media campaigns that produce publicity and positive impact.
