About the role
Target's Community and Stakeholder Engagement team is looking for a Senior Business Partner to own data and reporting for its community work. The role helps show the full picture of what Target Corporate Giving and the Target Foundation achieve through grants, volunteering and community programs.
What you'll do
- Work with the team's lead data consultant on analytics for grantmaking, volunteer programs, community engagement and related financials.
- Improve the quality, structure and controls of social impact data, and set up new ways to collect and share it as needs change.
- Pull giving and volunteer results together into accurate, publishable impact reporting that can be broken out by geography, demographics and focus area.
- Produce monthly and quarterly KPI dashboards, visuals and custom analyses for senior leaders, program owners and communications partners, and manage incoming report requests.
- Turn the numbers into insights that shape strategy, link community outcomes to business goals, and track outside benchmarks.
- Build tools and training so teams across the function can use data in their own decisions.
What they're looking for
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus about five years in corporate giving, philanthropy, nonprofits or a related field.
- Hands-on experience analyzing large data sets and building visualizations and reports.
- Familiarity with using giving, volunteer and financial data to produce community impact reports; foundation or corporate philanthropy experience is a plus.
- The ability to explain complex data simply to non-technical colleagues and outside partners.
- Strong organization and the ability to juggle several projects independently.
