About the role
Experian, the global data and technology company, is launching a new international corporate foundation and is hiring its first Director to build it. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, this leader will turn the foundation's strategy into a working operating model, grantmaking program and governance setup.
What you'll do
- Work with Trustees to define the foundation's priorities, policies, operating model and public identity.
- Run the full grantmaking cycle: finding partners, due diligence, risk review, funding recommendations, agreements and reporting.
- Prepare Board papers and analysis, coordinate employee committees in several countries, and represent the foundation with charities and funders.
- Keep governance, safeguarding, risk, audit and compliance arrangements in good shape.
- Manage grant budgets and commitments, track impact, and plan the team and resources needed as the foundation grows.
What they're looking for
- Substantial senior experience in a foundation, philanthropy, social impact or grantmaking setting, ideally with large or complex funding programs.
- Experience advising Boards or Trustees and senior stakeholders, including across multiple countries.
- Solid grounding in governance, due diligence, safeguarding and financial stewardship.
- Strong writing and relationship skills, and comfort working independently in a small, fast-evolving setup.
