About the role
Sysco, the world's largest foodservice distributor, is looking for a manager to keep its sustainability agenda moving across the business. The role coordinates programs and people so the company's sustainability strategy turns into concrete results.
What you'll do
- Run cross-functional sustainability programs, holding regular check-ins with workstream leads to track progress, flag risks and clear roadblocks.
- Build relationships with internal teams and outside partners, and speak for Sysco's sustainability work in external forums across the food system.
- Prepare and run board, executive-team and CEO sustainability updates, along with monthly team meetings and working sessions.
- Produce polished, executive-ready presentations that distill complex material.
- Own the sustainability communications and collateral calendar with Marketing and Corporate Communications, and serve as the team's go-to on avoiding greenwashing.
What they're looking for
- 4–6 years in project management, strategy, transformation, communications or sustainability; a sustainability background isn't required, but real interest in the mission is.
- Experience steering complex, multi-stakeholder projects and working with senior leaders.
- Excellent writing and slide-building skills, plus fluency with Excel, Teams and project-tracking tools.
- Bachelor's degree required (sustainability degree preferred); travel up to 25%.
